Finding new and keeping up with current photography resources is a never ending task, and one that I enjoy! The internet houses so many resources for continuing education, running a business, hands on workshops, and countless others. The way I think of it is the more knowledge and resources I have, the more I can impart with you, whether you’re a bride kicking off her planning journey or a fellow photographer ready to OWN their business.
There are so many helpful resources out there. I would be here all day listing the different ones I’ve found and how they have impacted my personal growth, my talent, and/or my business. For this post, I’ll be highlighting one of my all time favorite resources for elopement photography, The Foxes Photography.

Gabi and Brandon Fox, owners of The Foxes Photography, are a husband and wife photog team that have VASTLY raised the bar for elopement photography. They began to pursue their career serving couples around the world after quitting their day jobs in favor of a year of traveling. Photography became a mutual love for them as they adventured; fast forward to some weddings and a 1972 Airstream (that has it’s own Insta!) later, they have decided to share their wisdom with other photographers in the elopement scene. You can read more about the Foxes here.
Gabi and Brandon have put together some fantastic resources for photographers including a Facebook Group, an awesome email list, and a blog. I really enjoy being part of their Facebook group, where you can interact with both the Foxes and likeminded photographers. Some of the best feedback and tips I’ve gotten have been from that group! Not only are the discussions good, but there are lots of goodies thrown in like links to their newest vids from their YouTube channel.
They also have a page on their site dedicated entirely to elopement locations! This has been SO helpful for me when brides are looking for input on the best place for them to say their vows. I like to keep the link close by so that I can send it and paste it into groups whenever there are questions about locations. Even though it’s not a link to my own website, I know that sometimes the most helpful way you can serve someone is by simply pointing them in the right direction!
Russell Simmons said it best – “Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you”. Gabi and Bradon have done this whole photography thing very well so I’m going to continue to bask in their expertise so that I can learn and grow for you guys. Don’t be afraid to share the value of the resources around you! I encourage my fellow photogs to check out this lovely duo and take advantage of what they have to offer, especially those of you interested in adventure and/or elopement photography.
You guys are staying close to my heart as we begin to open our doors again and get back out into the world, doing what we love after weeks of social distancing. People are in need of your services and you have the talent to serve them in a way that they will never forget.
Believing in you,
Dev ♥︎
