Pregnancy comes packed with dos and don’ts – amiright, mamas? All are worth the little one you’ll be toting around for nine months, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get a bit overwhelming at times! We find ourselves constantly Googling “Can I eat salmon?”, “Is it safe to dye my hair?”, and something along the lines of “17 weeks and blinking more than normal – Is the baby okay?”
First and foremost, let me say that it is okay to be a little nutty when you’re expecting – Especially for the first time! You are what’s keeping that precious nugget growing and protected so being aware of the products you are using on the daily is good!
That being said, if you have been around me enough, you know it’s my goal to always reduce the overwhelm of life’s events for myself and others. This is why I wanted to share with you mamas-to-be my favorite pregnancy-friendly bath products. Warm water, bubbles, and heavenly scents are a dream team. Allow me to introduce you to the VIPs.
You really can’t judge this product by how it looks because it looks funky. True to its name making it look and feel like you’re slathering castor oil through your hair, this shampoo has ah-mazing results. I have wrestled with oily skin and hair since puberty (the oil factor seems to have increased now that I have a bun in the oven) and this is one of the very few shampoos I have found that leaves my hair feeling soft and oil free. If you are wondering what in the heck this smells like, the answer is clean. No artificial vanilla cashmere scents here!

My amazing husband is owed a shout-out here for introducing me to this product – Chris, honey, you’re the bomb and I love you!
There is a lot of debate on whether stretch marks are actually preventable since the main deciding factor is, you guessed it, genetics. Still, there’s no harm in showing your growing tum some extra love. As Baby L grows, so do I and I eventually noticed my belly becoming increasingly itchy. Applying this belly butter in the morning after I shower and before bed in the evening solved that discomfort quickly! I really love that this product has only five very easy-to-pronounce ingredients, with the top two being organic shea and coco butter. Another plus is that this can be used on other stretch mark hot spots like your breasts and hips!

What do you get when you add oil and stress with a helping of pregnancy hormones? That’s right – Acne. Bumps, lumps, and spots galore, unless you have awesome genetics, in which case I ask that you kindly exit out of my site (Just kidding). This facial wash is made specially for oily skin without ingredients that dehydrate your pores. It smells like a tropical paradise and leaves my face feeling happy so it’s a win-win in my book!

Each of these brands are made with natural ingredients making them safe for expecting moms. Another pro – All three are also cruelty free, which is a huge plus in my book. I have used at least two of these brands as part of my daily routine for about a year now and I love them so much, that I felt I had to share this love with you. I will never promote a product that I have not actually used, that I do not enjoy using, or that I don’t feel works like it should. It is my goal to provide you all with informative and trustworthy reviews, so I hope that you get as much out of this as I am putting in! Now, take these goodies for a spin and try not to get hooked – I dare ya!
Disclosure: The benefits of each of the products listed in this blog are based on my own personal experience as well as research that I have performed on each brand/product. What works for me may not work for you and I do not claim that these products are appropriate for all skin types. I am not a medical professional, just a mamma trying to be healthy.
